There is a new COVID-19 variant, JN.1. So, get the latest COVID-19 vaccine to protect against this new variant. The older vaccines do not protect against this new variant. According to the CDC only 18.5% of adults have received the latest COVID-19 vaccine.
The latest COVID-19 vaccine may prevent long COVID, hospitalization, even death; and hospitalizations and deaths due to COVID-19 have increased.
COVID-19 and the flu tend to increase during the winter months. So get them both, if you haven't already. Also wear a mask for extra protection.
