Member Event: Stonewall Rally @ Georgia Tech

The Stonewall Riots ignited our modern-day LGBTQ+ rights movement.  As we commemorate the Stonewall Riots this month, we encourage our community to recognize that Pride is still political.  Many in our community continue to fight for basic human rights - and we must stand in solidarity with them.  The Atlanta Pride Committee encourages you to  "Show Up & Shout Out" for our Transgender Brothers, Sisters, and Non-Binary and Gender Expansive Community!  Ongoing political efforts both locally and nationally, mean that it is not safe to be Transgender or Gender Expansive.  Join APC, Trans Housing Atlanta, The Juxtaposed Center for Transformation, and the Georgia Tech Pride Alliance for a rally for Transgender rights!  This event will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1pm on the "Tech Green," which is the lawn in the middle of the Georgia Tech campus.  There is metered parking for visitors all around campus, but people's best bet is to park in the Student Center Deck(W02), which is $2 per hour.  Limited seating will be available.  Please feel free to bring signs and posters - but recognize that this is a rally and not a march.
